Kazoo Toys 11th Annual Kids Clothesline Art Show and Contest
Children ages 3-14 are invited to participate in the annual art show and contest! Each child that places a piece of his or her artwork on display will receive a blue ribbon. It is the philosophy of Kazoo Toys to celebrate the talents of all children. At our art show, every child can say that he has had his very own artwork on display. In addition, there will be a public voting opportunity with those artists receiving the most votes in their age category winning a $10 gift certificate. Finally, Kazoo will select one entry to join our permanent art collection which will be on display in our store all year long! This artist selected for this honor will receive a Kazoo t-shirt and a $25 Kazoo gift card!
Kazoo Toys is located in North Buckhead at the south end of Powers Ferry Square which is located at 3718 Roswell Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342

Georgia Capitol Art Exhibition 2024
Each year, art educators and students across Georgia represent the quality of art education in our schools with the Capitol Art Exhibition. This year, our school is also participating with Natalie Benifield representing our school. Natalie created this artwork using an advanced printmaking technique called reduction printing. We were learning about Andy Warhol's Pop Art prints in this lesson. Students, parents, art teachers, community leaders, and state legislators will come together to celebrate arts in our schools at the special exhibition in March. Here is a link to the digital gallery to view all the talented artwork from the students of Georgia including our Natalie's: Student Art Gallery

A Little About Me!
I was born in South Korea and immigrated to America when I was 4 years old with my family. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgia State University in with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Art Education, and Summa Cum Laude from Georgia State University in 2010 with a Masters of Art Education. I have been teaching in Fulton County since 2004. Before I came to Heards Ferry Elementary in 2017, I taught art at Manning Oaks Elementary since 2006 and taught art as an itinerant teacher since 2004. I love the warm and supportive family I have made at HFE, and I am proud of the students who show me everyday how Art touches their lives and impacts their learning. Some artists who have inspired me are Rene Magrite, Georgia O’Keeffe, Gerhard Richter, Ed Ruscha, Caspar David Friedrich, Andy Warhol, and all of my art teachers.
I have a wonderful husband who is a graphic designer and three crazy kitties. In addition to teaching and making art, I love traveling, enjoying nature walks, watching period-piece dramas, and gardening.
Can't wait to meet you and have art with you!
Love, Mrs. Strom
